Thought we would try this out based on reviews. To say we were blown away is an understatement I had the coconut curry chicken and they modified it with boneless chicken. It was so delicious I cannot even tell you. We also had a tofu appetizer which was perfectly cooked and another vegetarian dish and desert. We will be coming back here! The food, the service. We are thrilled we stopped!

We are frequent here for the weekend meals on banana leaf. It's comforting to eat on the leaves just like back home.
On other instances, I'd only go for their goat curry. Highly recommend it.
Ambiance is nice. And service is also great, they are helping and welcoming.

I came for lunch but was absolutely going to order off the menu - why you ask? Because they have an item that can take me through time.

You see my grandmother would make what we call gunthapunganum, orbs of fried batter. These were incredibly tasty and she made them as a celebration or pick me up when I was a kid. The batter is not something that you can just make up, you need to plan a couple days ahead (at least that's how I remember it). I have asked for this at restaurants wherever I travel the US and have NEVER found a place that makes them. Now that my grandmother has passed it has been over 30 years since I've eaten these...

I heard that Kumars has them on their menu, and I am NOT disappointed! They have them and they taste wonderful.

This restaurant is different and we should judge it differently. This is a time travelling ship and not a restaurant. This will take you back to your grandmothers kitchen, where she will make you feel seen, and validated and able to do anything.

Went here for 2 consecutive days, first had veg buffet and next day had non veg buffet. I've had Indian buffet at many different places and each will have some good and some average, but this place everything is good - both veg and non veg taste is very good and I didn't have any bloating even after trying all the dishes which is good for all..

Gulabjamun, jeera samba biriyani, mutton chukka, jigarthandaa everything was good.

Definitely recommend place!!!

Everything was delicious! Lots of traditional South Indian dishes in the buffet which I liked. Some of the options offered was mutton kolambu, fish kolambu, chicken chops masala, dum biryani, chicken 65, sambar, avial, chicken tikka, paneer tikka masala, pomfret fry, and even a pani puri/dahi puri station. Everything was delicious and spicy. Lots of options for both veg and non veg. For dessert there was paysam, gulab jamun, mango cake, and mango and vanilla soft serve. Mango soft serve was so good, I kept coming back for more.

If you don’t want to do the buffet my mom and sister split a non veg thali which had several small portions of their curries, rice dishes and desserts. It typically gives free refills as well but since they were sharing, no refills are given, but it’s big enough that we ended up taking some back for leftovers.

Everything would get restocked quickly in the buffet if something ran out, and service was great. I would definitely come back!

This is a GREAT place! all you can eat for 23us! the variety of food is huge! and the desserts are AMAZING! I loved the place and my friends told me that this is the REAL Indian food, best in the State for sure!!! I totally recommend it, male sure to go early cause it has a lot of people!!!!

The food here is excellent! As long as you know how much spicy you can handle and order accordingly, you'll be pleased with the great flavors found within each dish.

The service is terrible. The waiters are nice, but there are clearly not enough cooks or waiters to serve a dinner rush. Tables were waiting for 40-60 minutes to receive orders on a Saturday night. This is also not a recent issue as I found the restaurant had similar issues 9 months ago. I'd love to give this review more than 2 stars, but the poor service is simply too much to bear.

One of the best places to have great Indian cuisine, top-notch chefs, crafting flavorful dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic Indian food!!!!
